Field Applications
- Wiremapping: Connect one end of the cable to the main unit and the other to the remote. Select 'Wiremap' to instantly check for continuity, shorts, opens, or crossed pairs.
- Cable Length: Connect one end of the cable to the main unit (leave the other end open). Select 'Length' to measure the run and find the exact distance to any break.
- Cable Tracing: Plug the target cable into the transmitter and select 'Scan'. Use the receiver probe to trace the tone through walls or in the comms cabinet. Use Digital mode for environments with high electrical interference.
- PoE Testing: Plug the active network cable into the PoE port. The screen will display the voltage, polarity, and PoE standard (af/at).
